Project Overview
WorkHub is one of the most challenging projects, where I played a vital role in conducting UX research, conceptualizing, and designing this intuitive app that optimizes task allocation and progress monitoring.
It is indeed a testament to my commitment to enhancing operational efficiency through innovative and user-centric solutions.✨
Background
In response to the growing challenges small businesses face in managing tasks and developing effective team collaboration, the WorkHub app was the solution. The goal was to create a comprehensive solution that successfully overcome their challenges.
Role
UX Researcher, UI Designer
Timeline
1.5 Months
Problem Summary
The challenge began with having numerous competitive apps already available aiming for same solution, which is improving business management. Yet, lack of proper user research and understanding, almost everything fails.
Solution
Why exactly other apps are failing to solve the issue? Our goal is to answer to this question and implement those strategies in this app.

What do our target participants say?

I interviewed 24 small business owners about their goals and challenges.

What’s next? What do you need to achieve your goals?

Now that we define Ziana’s goals, time to help her achieve it!

This is how she succeeds!

Next step, how do you feel to perform these tasks to achieve goal?

User Journey Mapping

Time to create our wireframes!

Hey Ziana, we represent you the best tool you need to reach your goal!

We let the users perform specific actions to understand their frustration and behavorial patterns.

Affinity Diagram

Thanks to Ziana now that we know where we need improvements!

Prioritizing these improvements will help us out.

Insights

Finally, we iterated the wireframes and successfully designed the app.
Here is the final result!

Conclusion & Learnings
Throughout the whole journey, I had only one approach.

“Let your user be the hero of your story, not your product”

All this detailed UX research and user-centric thinking led to this visually appealing, user-friendly interface app. Empathizing with the business owners allowed me to go beyond limitations and brainstorm to come up with innovative solutions to solve their pain points.

Lastly, this project changed my approach as an UX designer. I am grateful for this journey as a continuous learner.
